Mr. Grumbles

I am proud to say that we hear at Fairflyer got a chance to catch up with Mr. Grumbles after his latest photo on www.stuffonmycat.com

Here are some of his responses from his fans on his Comments section:

Hi, Mr. Grumbles here. It’s great to finally be able to get back to you all about my recent photo submission. I was sleeping when my owner-lady took it. She found these crappy broken sunglasses [with no ear holders] on the street. Who knows what kind of freak that thing fell off of, not to mention the diseases. Regardless, I’m not at all surprised, that bitch really doesn’t care about my health. So here I am sleeping on the couch, just got comfortable and all of sudden she puts this garbage on my face and snaps a picture. This is probably the worst thing on the site. Stuff on my cat should probably remove it, it’s a pair of sunglasses. Why can’t we have more pictures of cats covered in salt packets. Waste of bandwidth if you ask me. Eitherway, I’m happy to respond to some of your comments made on my picture.

Thanks, Kittykatmowser, but I hated that picture. For one, I don’t have any stuff on me, so I don’t understand why it would be posted. Second, we didn’t use any conditioner so I had to deal with that for a week.

Can’t say I know Mr. Paws. But thanks for the compliment.

Is that Mr. Grumbles’ little pink tongue poking out there?

You could say that.

i seriously have those same exact glasses

Please, by all means, have another pair.

Check out the length of fur between those cute toes. The master of fluff for sure!

I’m going to cut you.

I just LOVE floof between the toes! It’s probably a good thing my girl
doesn’t have floof. I imagine I would spend hours playing with the
floof, trying to catch it between my fingers & stretching it to see
how long the floof REALLY is!
I have only known one floofy-toed cat in real life…it was absolutely
adorable and every time I saw him I would laugh almost to the point of
tears! Simple pleasures!

I’d love to stretch the floof out from between your ears.

Mr Grumbles! It is a great pleasure to see you
in all your floofy glory! Love the hint of pink tongue that matches so
nicely with the touch of pink nose! My Sylvester has quite an abundance
of toe floof, and yes, I have spent lots of time playing with it,
pulling it, etc….thank goodness he has limited patience or I would
never drag myself away…”sorry boss, I had a serious case of toe-floof
yesterday and couldn’t come in”… ;-)

You’re fired.

No problem. However, I left the “real deal” in your penny-loafers, you asshole.

Thank you Ringo – I was thinking the exact
same thing……I wonder how my boss would react if I called in saying
I couldn’t make it in due to a serious case of TF (toe floof). Similar

You would also be fired.

Mr. Grumbles the SF (smoosh face) with TF!
06/24 06:33:48

So if SF means Smoosh Face, what does TF stand for?

Please send help.

My craving for pizza had lasted for most of this weekend. And for the first time in as long as I can remember, I actually ate and made myself a pizza not on impulse or in a rush. In fact, I foresaw myself making my own crust and went out on Friday to get some packets of yeast.

About 4 years ago I worked in a restaurant and spent sometime making the pizzas there. In line with the spirit of the joint there, they were of no gourmet quality, though I always relished my personal pie that I would build out of whatever I was feeling like at the end of the night (pineapple/veggie burger with extra, extra, extra cheese anyone?). I tossed the dough–actually throwing it in the air and spinning it–spread the sauce and cooked them up in the oven, but never had I ever made my own dough from scratch.

This is clearly what I am getting at here with this segment. Pizza is associated with a quick and easy meal, no plates and dirty dishes–especially if you get take out, where there is only the box that you need to bring down to the garbage the next morning. But in the dough, there is a real process of waiting, as it is in fact a bread. Yet, if you were to bake it without the toppings of tomato sauce and cheese, it would be very unappealing, really the secret of making a good pizza dough is to imagine only as a crust for to toppings it is to be served under.

Suffice to say, my first attempt at a dough went well, but with great room for improvement before I actually start to say I could trump what comes out of my local pizza joint. But waiting for the dough to rise in the kitchen gave me a good break in the process of cooking to run to the store and grab some more cheese and work on a mix cd for a friend, rather than laze around for the delivery guy show up.
