January of 2007 I signed up to do a Century bike-ride on May 20th (100 miles in Montauk) to benefit the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. I will be riding in memory of my dad who bravely battled lymphoma for seven years and passed away last May. I am also riding in honor of a friend of mine who is currently fighting non-Hodgkins lymphoma. Right now he is going through chemotherapy and is having great success. I hope you will check out his blog. Making a difference in the ongoing struggle with these diseases is a major reason why I am doing this. The research and the treatments have vastly improved in the last few years and I think a cure may be not too far away.
This page is dedicated to providing more information about the organization, how important this cause is to me and what you can do to help me meet my goals and commitment to raise $2,500. I hope you will follow my blog for regular updates on how my training is progressing (there’s going to be a lot of training), in addition to my thoughts on air travel, space travel, baseball, politics and music.
So don’t forget to subscribe to my blog to catch all my updates, if you need help with this you should refer to this site for a good RSS Reader.
